UCV UNIFORMS
The UCV uniforms that I am showing are authenic reunion uniforms,
they were made after the Civil War for reunions and were
not war time uniforms.
They are not for sale, I list them for you to enjoy like
I do. Alot of them have
real Civil War accessories and some look like they are real!

This is an authentic UCV Alabama 24th Flag.
This was hung in the Capital building in Birmingham until
the 1960's, came out of a museum. Has the sewn cloth attachment
laces on the side of flag.
This is George Barnes Shelbys speech he gave to the daughters
of the Confederacy
when they gave him his Southern Cross. The town of Shelby
Mississippi is named after him.
He was in CS Adams Calvary and died in Memphis in 1909. The
speech he gave is 7
pages front and back. Has 2 UCV ribbions, original picture,
and letter, with the
Southern Cross still inside of the box it came in.

Nice Mississippi UCV unlined with post War Miss. Eagle buttons,
also
has pants, this is a really old style similar to shell jacket
but its a Frock
coat 7 button in a really small size. Has I'd items with
it.
I'd ladder badge to M. Moses, served in Tenn. 24th, Army
of Mississippi under Stewart, and also Army of central Kentucky.

sure on what it mean't, or
if this had to due with rank, it is on a Colonel uniform.
It looks like it is made of silk from around the 1900's.

This flag came from a family in South Carolina this belonged
to their grandfather.
This flag is the same size as the 12 in the paper wrapper
18 inches.
This was attached to a pole.
This came out of a UCV Hall in Knoxville, Tn. in the 1930's.
It is 12 confedererate battle flags still in
their original package. I'd love to open them but I just
can't pull myself to do it, they are 18 inches each.

This kepi came out of Georgia and has Georgia period buttons.
It is butternut in color
and looks like it is real Confedererate kepi. I'm not sure
for now it will be considered UCV. These are the really early
kepis
I have seen real ones, this one looks really good, won't
see much better.

This Kepi was sold as a UCV kepi, however I have shown this
to several experts and they feel it is a real authenic
Confederate Kepi. It has Old letters on the top that stand
for South Carolina Volunteers. The emblem is of
Civil War period as well. The buttons are 1850 flower buttons.
The lining is correct for a Pre War Kepi
This hat is completely hand sewn. The hat was suspose to
be from South Carolina calvary, the only one
is J.J. Underwood 6th South Carolina Calvary, mustered out
April 1865, Logans Brigade Army of Tennessee.

This UCV flag came out of a UCV hall in Chattanooga, Tn.
How about a real UCV salesmans book. You could look at the
samples
pick a number and order the pin you want. You don't see these
much any more.
These are the same type stars you see on alot of UCV uniforms.
This is a UCV belt on its original belt. These are hard to
come by has original museum tag saids

Montgomery P Garrett Virginia 26th Infantry (name inside
of coat) he was a musician in the army.
He was captured 4/4/1865 High Bridge, Va. and imprisioned
Point Lookout, Md. he was released
6/12/1865 from Md. Has Virginia Buttons.
This is a beautiful South Carolina UCV coat with real
South Carolina Civil War age buttons. It has the black around
the collar for a medical insignia and absolutely gorgeous
gold schroling on the sleeves. This has the most of any uniform
I have.
This uniform is I'd to a Captain Mark Cohen he was a Medical
Doctor as well.
They thought this uniform was a real Frock Coat? Has real
South Carolina buttons
marked HT & B Manchester on coat and Horstman Allen cuff
buttons.
With Sash, Two peice belt, and Southern Cross and UCV medal.

This is a South Carolina UCV uniform I'd to
Houston Lofton 14th South Carolina Infantry
This came directly from his family in Abbeville South Carolina.
The buttons a the rare large size stamped Thos. J. Dunn &
Co.
My Great grandfather rode with Morgans Raiders, I found this
very special to me.
These are the personal items of Col. Nathan B. Deathrage.
He enlisted in the Confederate Army at the age of 18.
He served in Company B, Eleventh Kentucky Cavalry, a part
of the command of Gen. John Hunt Morgan,
During one of the raids he was captured and held in Federal
prison for 19 months.
He was Vice president of the Morgans Men Association in Lexington
Ky. until
his death May 23rd 1932 at the age of 88. He was Commander
of the Kentucky UCV division from
1926 until 1931 and Inspector General of Kentucky UCV Division
1924.
His picture in the late 20's he was over eighty in this picture

His Southern Cross no name, the Calvary pin, the Southern
Cross, and the Commander badge were all
in the top pocket of his UCV General coat.

Note all of them have a lapel pin like the one I have.
He is sitting in the center and looks like a much younger
man than the rest of them.

This is a Virginia flat button UCV with Colonel Stars.
It has a Virginia Slouch hat with original hat cord and possibly

VA Insignias, could be a real hat.

This UCV Major looks real it could be, it has several South
Carolina buttons marked Horstman & Allien has no lining.
faded gray with pleats at waste, this is really cool. The
stars on the collar and the trim on the uniform are authenic
Confedererate stars and trim. No lining inside. Snake buckle
is post war.

This is a Pettibone Colonel UCV with UCV buttons all over
it. has epauleetes and even brass hooks on side to hold up
the belt.
This is a very elaborate uniform. This is one of the prettiest
uniforms I own.
It has a real Civil War Sash.

Bone handle walking cane dated 1864 not sure when it was
made came with a UCV uniform and was suspose to be from
a battle in Tennessee. This could be period or UCV. probably
tree branch cut down and made into a cane from a battlefield.
Nice Lt. Col. UCV straight out of a Georgia estate, the stars
are pinned on.

This is a Captain UCV with the 3 sewn bars, it has the extra
large UCV buttons these are alot rarer than the regular size.

Major Uniform
Major Pleasant Henderson Hanes of the the one and only Hanes
underwear. He was in the N.C. Calvary and
he is posing in this very uniform it came with his pants
and suspenders also. He has his Stetson Hat on
and actually signed the picture standing on his front porch.
The picture has his
signature standing on the porch in 1923. The vest is also
with it. Pretty cool huh. Also has an original
program of the 39th annual reunion United Confederate Veterans
Charolette N.C. The program is from
1929 has a Hanes ad inside, also shows a picture of the house
where the picture was taken.

2 on each cuff. It is well worn and has 2 real civil war
buttons eagle I and eagle C
with yellow for Calvary. This one is well worn. Look at the

This flag was presented to Mrs. S. H. Starr wife of Captian
S.H. Starr of Arkansas
This was presented to her from the Old Hickory Chapter U.S.U.S.D.
in 1872.
They used this flag in a parade where they rode their horses
thru Memphis in a 1909 reunion.
I removed it from the pole due to damage caused by hanging.
